Felicity joined SUMS in 2019 having been Head of Marketing Operations at the University of Reading.
An expert in organisational development, engagement and enabling people capability, she has a track record in optimising team performance across a range of disciplines including marketing, communications and HR. Prior to joining the HE sector, Felicity enjoyed a successful career in the John Lewis Partnership working in a range of roles, notably HR, Marketing, staff engagement, organisational change and governance.
Since joining SUMS in summer 2019, she has led a SUMS review of the University of Leicester’s enquiry management systems; a review of Clearing & Confirmation processes at the University of Hull; a community engagement project for the University of Reading; and an organisational design and recruitment programme management assignment at a London University. The latter included a cross-sector benchmarking report, identifying optimal organisational structures for M&C Functions.
Felicity has led a number of thought leadership pieces on behalf of SUMS, including a trilogy of reports reviewing the impact of CV-19 on admissions, enforced online learning, and graduating through Covid. She has also co-authored a key insight piece exploring the impact of CV-19 on staff health, general wellbeing and remote working enablement, which sets out clear recommendations for Universities to consider going forwards. She has delivered webinars and a main stage conference speech to help SUMS members lean into the challenges facing the sector right now.
Felicity is also one provider of professional coaching to SUMS which is an embedded strand of SUMS’ efficiency and transformation offer. Most recently, she has established a peer promotional arrangement for her own company to deliver Mental Health Aware and First Aid Training (Adult and Youth), to SUMS member, offering further value.
