Selina is a strategic communications specialist with particular experience in developing communications strategies, reviews of communications functions and brand impact, audience research and message development.
She held senior communications posts in the arts/heritage and international development sectors as well as establishing an award-winning ‘issues’ division at a commercial PR agency. Her last in-house post was Head of Communications at VSO (Voluntary Service Overseas) where she was responsible for the brand and strategic communications approach across five international offices.
Since 2008 Selina has worked as an independent communications consultant advising clients including the ESRC, the Cabinet Office, University College London, the Royal Academy of Engineering, English Heritage, ActionAid and the Health Foundation.
Selina places particular importance on the co-creation of communications solutions. Working with clients she can create workshops that bring decision makers together to achieve focus and consensus; review team structures, working processes, outputs and impact; or conduct benchmarking research to scope and learn from innovation and best practice.
