Procurement Expert - Procurement Shared Service
Shirley Lewington is a procurement professional with over 20 years’ experience in a succession of senior purchasing roles for blue-chip organisations as well as the public sector, developing professional purchasing teams who improve bottom-line performance and service levels from their supply chains.
As a consultant, Shirley has worked with a number of public and private sector clients to develop and deliver their procurement strategies as well as delivering training programmes to establish good practice procurement within large, devolved organisations. Examples include a training programme for devolved buyers within the HE sector and a comprehensive training programme for a major financial organisation which supports all levels of the procurement team and sought to identify and capitalise on all opportunities to optimise their management of the supply chain. She delivers training events in contract management, as well as supporting clients in the management of their non-pay spend.
Shirley has been involved with Procurement Shared Services delivering Procurement Maturity Assessments across the HE sector since 2013.
