Jeannette has over 25 years of experience in Higher Education in a variety of roles in several very different universities. She was the Registrar and Secretary at the University of Hull and prior to that position, the Academic Registrar and Director of Student and Academic Services at Newcastle University. She has also worked in senior positions at St George’s, University of London, UCL and City University. Prior to working in the education sector, Jeannette served as an officer in the Royal Air Force.
Jeannette’s expertise in strategic-led change has enhanced the performance of complex university services. As a connector, innovator and engager, she has worked across organisational boundaries to engage students, staff and external stakeholders to achieve the goals of her universities. Jeannette has led multi-million-pound investment and change programmes delivering results with impact and a positive return on investment.
Jeannette has experience across the full range of professional services in UK universities. Her specialist areas of knowledge are the academic registry, student services, university governance and agile resilience planning. She also has in-depth experience implementing information technology to improve the delivery of services for students and the functioning of the university.
Jeannette has a BSc in Economics from the University of Hull, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Administration from the University of London and an MBA from City University. She is a Fellow of the Association of University Administrators.
Jeannette lives in Beverley in the East Riding of Yorkshire. She is a member of the NCG Board of Governors and a volunteer case worker for the Royal British Legion.
