Amid unprecedented change in the software landscape for timetabling platforms, more and more institutions are considering their systems strategy and thinking about changing supplier. Implementing a new timetabling platform is not an easy change project, either from an IT perspective or from the wider organisational change perspective. It takes a longer than you expect and is not without significant risk.
The results of a SUMS Consulting survey indicated that few institutions have additional resources in place to enable timetabling functions to fully engage with procurement projects: people are engaging on top of their day jobs.
So, to help the sector deliver such change more effectively, SUMS and SUPC will host a series of events for the timetabling, IT and procurement communities. The main focus of these events will be a series of supplier demonstrations to ease the burden of soft market testing. We will also run a session about procurement to inform timetablers of what to expect from the process and to answer any questions they might have.
*This event series is available to SUMS memembers and UKUPC members only*
Registrations close at 12pm on Thursday 15th February 2024. Please 'REGISTER' above to secure your place. Joining instructions will be sent by email closer to the event.
