The final agenda can now be downloaded below. (Updated version 30/09/19)

Over the last three Community of Practice Sessions, we have often discussed the role of effective sponsorship from Strategic Leaders when planning and implementing change initiatives within the Higher Education Sector.

The next session, hosted by the University of Bristol focuses on the journey to setting up a change team. This interactive event will include insights from both the Change Team and a Strategic Leader from the University on the challenges faced and successes achieved at the University of Bristol.

The session will explore questions such as what a successful change team looks like from the perspective of the team itself and colleagues across the University, where the Change Management remit starts and ends, managing expectations, working with people responsible for the inputs and outputs, and developing strategic leadership to ensure maximum impact.

We will also consider examples of successful coaching and mentoring for strategic leadership based on work undertaken by SUMS Consulting across a number of UK Universities.

*Update for the next session*

The session will also feature a panel of professional and academic senior leaders from the University of Bristol who will provide their insights on Change and answer questions from the group.

Delegates can pose their questions on the day, or if preferred these can be emailed in advance to Grace Parsons - sumsevents@reading.ac.uk. Please title your email Change CPG, 3rd October - Questions for Panel.
