Postponed – Change Management Community of Practice Group

Over the last four Community of Practice Sessions, we have learnt a lot about the approach to change undertaken by a number of our member organisations – The Open University, Middlesex University, the University of Leicester, University of West England Bristol and University of Bristol.

In our next session, hosted by SUMS at the University of Reading, we will be reflecting on key principles that have arisen from the various case studies that we have considered in the past with the aim of consolidating our learning.

This is also a time for us to start ‘thinking outside the box’ and we are pleased to invite our Associate Consultant Felicity Gasparro who joined SUMS Consulting in 2019 after a successful career in the John Lewis Partnership working in a range of roles - notably staff engagement, organisational change and governance; and most recently was Head of Marketing Operations at the University of Reading.

Felicity will take us through a number of case studies from the John Lewis Partnership – in particular Change Governance and approach to Pension Reforms – both extremely relevant to our sector at this time. This will be an interactive session where we will compare and contrast approaches to change as well as outcomes achieved across the two sectors, and highlight key learning points that we can use back at our institutions.
