Catherine Lorigan

Catherine’s background is in service delivery and change management. She brings 25 years of experience managing operations and leading change in corporate communications, consumer finance, retail banking and Higher Education.

Between 2014 and 2021 she was Director of Student Operations at the University of Leeds, where she led in establishing a university-wide service of 600 colleagues encompassing Admissions, Assessment, Programme Administration, Student Support and Student Finance.

Latterly she acted as business sponsor for Leeds’ Student Lifecycle programme and was involved in work to establish the university’s Transformation Office and Single Plan.

Catherine’s interests and expertise are in operating models and in transformational change. Having managed business critical services in a number of sectors she brings a wealth of experience in balancing cost-effective delivery with the needs of end-users.

She has been involved in a number of significant change programmes and understands the importance of communications, training, and good governance frameworks in making change successful and sustainable.

Catherine trained as a coach in 2022 and is a firm believer in the value of a coaching approach to leadership in creating high-performing teams.

A History and Modern Languages graduate (Oxford 1981) Catherine retains a keen interest in historic events and buildings. She has recently embarked on a plan to renovate a Georgian cottage and establish a physic garden.
